Switch from Hevy

The tracker Hevy users graduate to.

Keep the habit of logging every session. Add the parts Hevy does not claim to publish: ten set types, dominance PRs, deload-aware analytics, fatigue signals, and a no-account offline start.

No sneering

Hevy is good. This is the next need.

Hevy is cheaper.

Hevy's public App Store pricing includes lower monthly and yearly options than Callus's planned launch pricing. If price is the main variable, that matters.

Hevy has a huge community.

Hevy publicly claims millions of athletes, friend feeds, comments, and routine copying. Callus has to earn that network from zero.

Hevy is polished.

Hevy is mature, cross-platform, and already familiar to many lifters. This page is for the lifter who wants more structure after that baseline is solved.

Comparison table

Where Callus is different.

Callus compared with Hevy, with dated sources for competitor claims.
Point Callus Hevy Source
Set depth 10 modeled set types: warmup, working, dropset, rest pause, mechanical dropset, myo, failure, forced reps, paused reps, and partial reps. Hevy lists warmup, normal, drop, and failure set tags on its App Store listing, with supersets handled separately. Hevy App Store listing Checked June 12, 2026
PR engine Dominance-based PRs keep every real record alive at the same time, then rank them by estimated 1RM or bodyweight-relative strength. Hevy publishes personal records, one-rep max, and exercise charts; its official feature pages do not publish dominance PRs or relative-score PR modes. Hevy official site Checked June 12, 2026
Coach's eye Deload prescriptions, fatigue/readiness signals, plateau forecasts, and DOTS-aware relative scoring sit on top of your actual log. Hevy positions its progress layer around charts, workout detail, routines, videos, and community rather than deload or fatigue prescriptions. Hevy official site Checked June 12, 2026
Watch The Apple Watch companion is built around quick logging, offline queueing, and cut-era PR feedback while the phone stays the full editor. Hevy supports Apple Watch and Wear OS, routine sync, offline workouts, and set marking on the watch. Hevy official site Checked June 12, 2026

Import walkthrough

Bring the log. Re-score the work.

The move is not a reset. Your old sessions become the base layer for Callus PRs, charts, and coaching.

  1. Export your Hevy history as CSV from Hevy.
  2. Open Callus, go to Settings, then Import Data, and choose the Hevy CSV.
  3. Review imported exercise names, muscle groups, equipment, RPE, and set-type mappings before your next session.
  4. Callus recomputes PRs across the imported log, excluding warmups and deload sessions from the PR pool.
